Dr. Sujeet Kumar, Professor of Biotechnology at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Maharashtra (AIB, AUM) holds PhD in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi where he studied the dynamic fluctuation in protein behavior in non-cellular milieu. Dr. Sujeet has been associated with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and is a Principal Investigator (extramural) at Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the apex body under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India.  He has also served, as the member of review committee for ‘Malviya Postdoctoral Fellowships’constituted under the UGC-Institute of Eminence (UGC-IoE) status at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India.
For the post-doctoral research, Dr. Sujeet had a long stint, spanning near a decade-long career in USA and Canada where he investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation and aberrant activation of several proteins involved in cancer-progression in humans using biochemical, cellular, proteomic, imaging and computational approaches. With his expertise and leadership qualities Dr. Sujeet has initiated for the establishment of ‘Centre for Proteomics and Drug Discovery’, a unique interdisciplinary research centre with the key focus to provide a molecular-level understanding of human diseases for knowledge advancements towards personalized therapeutic approaches. In addition, Dr. Sujeet in his personal capacity is also actively associated and engaged with scientific-social outreach programs/activities at community level in congruence with the mission ‘Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR)’ initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
